The story behind the bowl
Aska Okumura and Gonzalo Ibáñez first built Komainu around ramen kits before opening a physical Madrid counter in 2022. The project grew from Okumura's homesickness for the street ramen of Tokyo rather than from a ready-made franchise formula.
